how to let the dust settle. [for all us graduates]

i look down.

dust at my feet.

cover my toes and hides under the nails.

interesting feeling.

i’ve found a dream that what i want to chase.

my feet is moving.

step…

step..

step.

then strides.

the sand grains are becoming blurry.

the dream’s moving away.

faster.

ever faster still.

will i ever catch it? (who knows?)

i look behind as i sprint.

large billowing clouds of dust.

kicked up by my feet.

the goal leads me around in circles.

in my own dust.

i can’t see.

dust in my eyes.

tears roll down my face.

i know the goal is out there.

360 degrees - blinded by the dust.

i’m scared.

i’m lost.

too much dust.

losing time.

the dream.

its slipping between my fingers.

i’m covered in dust.

covered in my own doing.

where to go?

run which direction?

time’s is melting away.

fall to my knees.

dust everywhere.

feeling helpless.

closing my eyes.

tears are endlessly streaming.

fists and teeth clinched.

sweat dripping.

head nodded down.

blood covered feet.

don’t feel the pain.

let myself down.

ran for nothing.

the dream.

where could you have gone?

is it not my right to live my dreams?

get up again.

never lose faith.

in Him.

‘open your eyes my son’, He says.

‘I have a plan for you’.

i open my eyes.

the dust has settled.

the dream is at my knees.
